Terenten - the village with the most hours of sun per year!

Terento is located at 1,210 metres above sea level and is called the sunny village. It has been proven that Terento enjoys the most hours of sun in South Tyrol. Here the sun shines from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in winter and from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. in summer. It is therefore common to say that the sun never sets in Terento.

We have a lot of sun to offer, but we also offer culture in Terento: the concerts by the local music band and the events of the traditional "Schuhplattler" dancers. Farmers' busy hands keep our landscape tidy and make sure old traditions and customs are kept alive. Parades, concerts, events organised by the local fire brigade and music festivals, village church day (Kirchtag) and driving the cattle back from the pastures – all great opportunities to participate in old traditions.

TIP: Every Thursday evening in July and August a summer party with traditional food and music is organised in the village centre. In winter you should not miss the spectacular fireworks on January 1st with mulled wine and music in the village centre!
